- Fastest machine I've ever ownedReview by Justin M
-
I am someone who was coming from a MacPro4,1, dual Quad Core Mac Pro with 12GB of RAM I got in 2009. I use After Effects, Maya, ZBrush and Photoshop all the time, and though not ancient this thing was killing me (memory issues all the time in Photoshop and After Effects). Waiting so long for Apple to do something I began to look at options including Windows. I came across mediaworkstations.net after talking to a friend and am glad I did. I was looking at 12-core Macs (and the HP Z800) that would have run me about $8k, but got a completely loaded i7Six with 64GB RAM and the GTX 690 for about $3k less. Needless to say the performance difference is astounding. Thanks guys. (Posted on 5/22/13)Rating - Amazing Workstation at a Fantastic ValueReview by Omar Saad S&S Productions

My name is Omar Saad, my wife and I own S&S Productions in San Luis Obispo, California. When it came time to upgrade our edit suite Chris and his team at MediaWorkstations put together a custom i7Six with dual GTX 670 video cards for us. This machine is a beast! It chews through our 5K Red Epic footage with ease in CS6 and in Resolve! Furthermore it stably runs OSX without issues. If you're in the market for the top of the line at a reasonable price, give Chris and MediaWorkstations a call! My name is Billy Brooks and I've been in visual effects for almost 20 years. I'm the guy who made R2-D2 fly in Episode II. (btw, done in Lightwave on a mac). I've always, ALWAYS been a mac guy and have never considered stepping out of my Apple box until I came across mediaworkstations.net. One reason I like Apple products is they usually 'just work'. And I'm very happy to report, my i7six has been flawless in every respect. I do very heavy compositing in packages like Nuke and After Effects. I render in LIghtwave/Mental Ray/VRay. All of the above are done at speeds that SMOKE my old computer.Rating
I couldn't be happier. Chris even helped me pick out a very cool looking case because the designer in me needed something with a little more personality. The computer was tested and ready exactly when Chris said it would be. He was very friendly and seriously knows his shit. I love geeking out and opening up a computer to upgrade it as much as the next guy but sometimes you gotta let someone you trust handle the technical stuff...like build a better/faster workstation that you can get at ANY Apple store. (I still love you Apple, but you know what you did)
If you need a machine that will keep up with you and your professional grade needs, please give these guys a call. You won't be disappointed. You get so much more for such a great price. Why the hell WOULD you buy a slower, more expensive Mac Pro at the Apple Store?
About Apple, they seem not to care about us power users that much anymore. Maybe it was something I said.... (Posted on 10/29/12) - Great Machine, Great Engineer Building ThemReview by CDavidson

I've had two machines in the last six years from you guys. Both are workhorses and extremely reliable. Having been in Film Music for the last 17 years I don't choose a machine that doesn't work. These guys make machines that work. (Posted on 10/25/12)Rating
